Default Oil Pump/Timing Chain Replacement/Water Pump Install Job

I'm going to be doing an oil pump/Timing Chain Replace/Water Pump Replacement job soon. I'm just looking for any tips, hints, or tricks from those who've done the job before.
Thanks

Alex_M did a great write-up with pics on doing this service on a DII.
Basically the same procedure for a DI just a few less bits to remove.

Have a look >https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...38/#post548912

Replace the 3 studs on the bottom of the timing cover with bolts.
Pack the new oil pump with vaseoline and assembly lube.
Replace and lube the o-ring where the pick-up tube goes into the timing cover.

Your pick up tube will not have an o-ring and will go into the block, not the cover. This is because of the GEMS engine. Be sure that you clean the screen and tube as best you can. I didn't replace the studs with bolts as the nuts and studs work fine for me. Be sure to check out that post it will answer a lot of other questions for you.
