I changed out the alternator, no difference.

I did read about a circuit board on the back of tach?

I went to Advance and got new NGK plugs and a spray bottle of Se3afoam, which I had been avoiding but since they had the aersol can for 7.99 I thought I would go ahead and Seafoam the intake and then put in new plkugs and see if the P1316 comes back or not.

Measure the AC volts on the flying lead tab of the alternator, and observe any difference betwen lead off and lead connected. If wire short to ground, one would expect quite a drop in voltage. Since the lead is not fused, most likely has internal limit resistor in the alternator. Of course this voltage would need to appear all the way at the instrument cluster.

Well I bought the Seafoam Spray, got ready to get started and the damn spray tube is missing. I looked at the web, it should be there, called Advance and talked with the guy, he "found" the tubes in the box in the back room. None of the cans they put out had the tubes, so it is back to AA again to pick up the damn tube.

Why can't something simple go right the first time? Catch you guys later.

EDIT: Back with the spray tube, wish me luck. Here I go to fog down the neighborhood I guess.
