Default Paul Grant--ABS hydraulic unit

Hey guys, my abs hydraulic unit has a problem. I'm trying to get some options other than buying a new one, went on eBay and saw a bunch for reasonable prices, however I don't know those sellers=not trust. I've bought parts off of Paul before (with great success)so I wanted o check with him before doing anything to the car. Anywho, I did a member search and I guess I'm not senior enough to get that access and couldn't find a post by him to PM him off of. Does anyone have some contact info or if Paul sees this can you please email me here. I also see there is a repair kit, which my mechanic is going to talk to the British Atlantic to see if that might work for my problem, maybe, maybe not. Either way I'd like to have a back up plan if that's not the solution. Thanks in advance.

Hi Brian,
I responded to your message on eBay and your PM here. I don't have a modulator (I'm assuming that's the hydraulic unit you're looking for) for your '03. As I mentioned in my other responses, make sure whomever it is that you purchase the part from has the means to adequately test the part before they pull and sell it to you. Also, if someone claims to have recently replaced the shuttle valve switch ask if they also replaced the seals. It they didn't you're likely to be revisiting the repair in short order.
Cheers,
Paul

Amen.

I laugh when I see sellers selling a used D2 modulator. Unless you they have replaced the seals and the shuttle valve and bi-passed the wires based on fix B, you are going to be installing a faulty unit. If not immediately, in the near future your three friends will appear. I have a box of modulators that I consider junk until I rebuild them properly.

yep, that's why I only buy used parts from Paul, he will not steer us wrong. Thanks again Paul, thought I emailed you back on eBay.

I have two modulators from D1s that worked when pulled from the trucks.
