Yea I couldn't work that one out either.. On the front I took the reading right off the output flange. On the rear I couldn't so I took the reading off the bottom of the t-case.

Maybe one of the t-case mounts is shot causing it to lean?

 

Guys im new here but noticed ya'll talking about an area i need help as well. just replaced rear chunck in my disc 1 1996 ran well but rear end heated up very hot and had a squill sp coming out of it. do i need to set angles on pinion or what. know nothing about this. thx

 

A 2" lift should not cause this, and isn't sense it happens with either of the shafts disconnected.
I am wondering if the t/case is starting to fail, will it also happen in low range?
Did you by chance, knock off a wheel weight when doing the install?
