I put the reds in mine. The ride is taut, but that is the way I want it. It also may be due to the fact the I am running BFG AT-KOs at 75 psi.
Be careful with the harbor freight press, I bought one and used it to do the job but also bore bruises for three weeks afterwards. That thing loads up like a compound bow, you should be very careful if that is the route you are going to take. I took an impact socket to the chest and man I'm telling you that really hurt.
As far as grease goes, I put handfuls of never seize on the bushings because I was worried that they were going to squeak. Eight months later bushings are good and nary a squeak to be heard.
