does the ZF hold up pretty well in the disco ?

you will have a good time with this truck. it needs some loving as i told you, but once you give it a good tune up and some descent tires it will be a damn nice rig for the price.

yeah the ZF if bulletproof. the one really good thing in these trucks. just change the fluid and go.

Yep, just don't over rev it for a long time in park or neutral, and don't try to rock yourself if you get stuck. These will burn it up (and most other autos too). The previous owner of my previous ride, a D1, had just replaced the tranny because he got stuck in the mud.
