Question before I install the new clutch and transmission...
Just want your opinions here> Should I fool around with changing the rear main seal? It doesn't appear to be leaking and the PO stated that the engine had been rebuilt 30,000 miles ago so I assume they would have replaced it then. There's a Victor Reinz seal installed. I've got clear access to the rear main seal so now would be the time I guess, but I also don't want to risk any future leaks by disturbing it. Is it as simple as removing and installing a new one? Thanks...
That's what the previous owner said about the clutch when the motor was out for rebuild...... let it be. You only get one good opportunity to do something well. Any opportunities after that fact are much less than good or well. Gut instincts should be listened to because the opposite is gut wrenching.
