yea i am nervous about the clean since its my new truck, but right now its running alright. I forgot to include it seemed it was sitting for awhile before i bought it, has the tow package and was mainly towed behind a rv. there was a lot of rust on the brakes but that wore off as i drove also some dirt at the bottom of the air filter that i cleaned out. and when i went underneath and got it with a grease gun everything was pretty much dry and a very small leak from the rear diff.

I'd just put a bottle of Seafoam in the tank at the next fill-up and not worry about induction cleaning. Spray the MAF with MAF cleaner and the Throttle Body with TB cleaner. Should be good after all that. Oh, and pull the IACV and clean the plunger tip and orifice.

Like these guys said, dont do the induction cleaning, and do not do a engine flush, but a trans flush would not hurt.
Change all the fluids and filters, get the heater fixed and enjoy the truck.

My truck has water fall sounds coming from or under the dash. I'm pretty sure I'm not low on coolant. I've read a lot about head gasket jobs around here. How can I know if mine needs replacing? My heater works and the sound has been there as long as I've had the truck which is about two years.

I did have an overhearing problem when I first got the truck. I replaced the fan clutch, water pump, thermostat, and had the raidiator cleanned/flushed. The guage hasn't gone past 9'oclock since.

These are very prone to air bubbles in the cooling system. Could just need to purge the bubbles.

And with a D1 you can put battery corner of truck on sharp elevation, remove radiator bung plug, run and keep filling, until coolant comes out steady, then close the plug. You are trying to force air to the top of the system. Some guys have reversed heater core hoses as well. As for a real test, there is a chemical test you buy for about $50 at the parts store, checks for exhaust gas in coolant, for HG leak.

I'll try this. Thanks!

Oh, I also replaced the cheap plastic plug with a brass one sealed with sylicone.
