All of my lugs are in good shape--at least they seem to be from my visual inspection.

However, when I tried to remove my spare (for an unrelated project), it turned into a cluster when I couldn't get a lug off. I think the problem has to do with the lug cap spinning on the underlying lug nut.

In the future, I'd love to avoid this problem. So, even though my lugs look good, I was thinking about going around and decapping all of them anyways to prevent any future issues What do you all think about that?

Can probably sell the caps for a few bucks as well.

You won't be able to sell the caps for two reasons.
1) They will probably get deformed/ruined when removing
2) Nobody wants them, LOL

If you don't like the "hole in the middle" look you can pick up a set of Range Rover classic lugs, they are solid and fit perfect. Look way better in my opinion.

Hole-in-the-middle look doesn't bother me one bit. My Rover is for utility not looks (although it is beautiful)!

This sounds like a worthwhile weekend project then.

With regards to Range Rover Classic Lugs, it sounds like they also have lug caps that are subject to swelling. At least, that's what this forum is suggesting. Are they just mistaken?

RRC lug nuts are solid steel, no caps. I have them and they work well.

Awesome. I'll see if I can source some. They look to be upwards of $200 on Ebay!

Used sets go for about $65. But they're not easy to find.

So a 95 D1 exposed lug is also 26mm?
