Well, he said new, but even new ones fail for various reasons. Good time to exercise the volt meter.

Have you looked at the ground connections to the frame from the battery and the starter?

I leave my UltraGauge plugged in all the time. Last week, I didn't drive or start the D1 for 6 days in temps as low as 2*F. When I started her on Saturday, no problems. My battery is a 3 year-old Yellow top.

Didn't see it was a new battery. I do remember a discussion recently reguarding a new battery may need a charge, that the alternator alone may not be sufficient if the battery was not fully charged when installed. Remember this?
