Default Quick steering question.

How much play should there be when grabbing onto the steering shaft and rotating the shaft by hand? I can't remember if I read somewhere on here that some is normal.

Not enough that you should ask the question. There is an adjustment nut on the steering box that will help. Here is the page from the RAVE shop manual, more info can be found there.

Steering play can also come from all the tie rod ends, warn bushing and to some extent, the alignment.

Why cant anyone just answer a question?
1" of play is normal, 2" is to much.
This is of course with the key on and the engine off wiggling the steering wheel back and forth.
