Good thing the Disco does not have rack and pinion steering.

Sounds like a really good knowledgeable shop, I will give them the benefit of the doubt without the truck being there, there is no rack and pinion steering on it, its a good old gear box.
Rack and pinions dont make noise anyway, there are no real moving parts inside them, just a hydraulic ram.

I've only taken the wife's Honda there before. The reason I called them was that while I was there with the CR-V, they mentioned doing a lot of import work. The guy on the phone backtracked pretty quickly when I mentioned the Land Rover over the phone. Rack & Pinion must have been the first thing he could think of.
Is there any difference between the PS pumps on ebay and the ones Atlantic British sells?

Yes, the ones on AB are prob of a better quality thus the higher price., they will state if it is a Land Rover part or not on AB.
