Default Rear ABS Ring, 98 D1

Hi,
I'm new to this forum, and this is my 1st post,
I have picked up a 98 Discovery LSE, needs a bit of work for safety, like breaks, some suspension bushings etc.

My Question today is regarding the rear disk ABS ring,

I took off my drivers side disk/hub assembly today to get started on the brakes, and I found that I cannot remove the ABS toothed ring from inside the disk, I managed to get the small nuts off but it wouldn't budge.

Does anyone have any tricks, I would like to keep ABS, but I'm at the point now where I may have to cut up the ring to remove it, I cannot even get to the disk mounting bolts with the ring in there.

I guess my other option would be to take a zip cut disk on my angle grinder and cut away at the disk until i can pry off the ring.

Any wisdom or other tricks would be great

Thanks in advance,

Phil

Its rusted, the 2 have become one.
Heat, use lots of heat and a hammer and chisel behind it.

Any suggestions how I can get behind it? or do I have to cut up the old rotor?
