Will the rear glass from a 2000 D2 fit a 99' D1?

Glass should fit but the location of the rail and gasket to which the regulator fits may be located differently. The regulators are different on these two models as are the window motors.

 

Are we talking rear passenger doors or the rear door, hatch, tailgate, whatever?

 

I just assumed door glass. The tailgate glass is the same. In fact, I installed a DII tailgate on a DI I was sorting out only a few weeks ago. Everything swapped over (latch assembly, door handle, ect.) without any significant issues.

Alpine windows and side cargo glass are not interchangeable.
