Default Replace fuel tank

I need to replace the fuel tank on my 95 D1. I have a used fuel tank. Are there any other parts that I will need?

Any tips?

I would check the fill tube hoses for cracks and splits and replace as necesary, also if you are going to reuse existing pump I would get new seal and lock ring.

Wasn't there a recall on the early disco tanks? I know there was on the range rover classic.

Check with the local LR dealer, you may end up getting it replaced for free if it was on the recall. My 97DI had the fuel tank replaced on recall prior to my purchase.

Look at the Rover's North webpages for excellent parts breakdown drawings showing each and every part involved.

I would get all new hardware, hangers, bolts, washers, nuts, all the hoses and tubes. Even all new clamps. All the old stuff will be corroded or nasty or cracked or screwed up in some way by the time you get it off. I would not reuse any of it.

Look at the Rovers North Illustrated pages to fully understand each and every part, the part numbers that RN uses and their prices. The great thing is it gives you a starting point that shows all the correct parts in the correct orientation, even if you do not order it all from them.

Cool - thanks everyone. Will check out Rovers North info and also see if the dealer could do it as part of the recall.
