Resetting "Adaptive" Values after IACS replacement.
Try this:
Key on, ignition off.
Download, install, and started OBDWiz on my laptop (old Dell XP).
I plugged the SX into the OBD connector on my truck.
Then plugged the SX into USB port on laptop and had OBDWiz connect to the SX.
After Wiz recognized the connection to the truck, I hit the disconnect button in Wiz. If I didn't, I got a port in use error message in command prompt.
Loaded up the GEMS program in command prompt. Ran >gems com# reset.

Funny, I had the same problems getting it to run on a windows 7 machine. Would connect fine on the OBDwiz program, but would give an error on when trying to run the GEMS program. Kept getting the Invalid Argument error. Fortunately we have a couple mac laptops in the house as well so I grabbed my wife's macbook and the mac binary ran fine and was able to reset my adaptives. It worked on the first attempt.
I also received a connection error when running GEMS until I did the following;
While connected in WIZ, under the Connection tab, I hit the disconnect radio button. Minimized WIZ then ran GEMS reset. I would make a video of the procedure but my truck is running awesome right now and rather not mess with it.
