Rough Idle, will not rev above 1k, undrivable
All,
Had my first Disco breakdown that stranded me yesterday... I had just finished cleaning out the interior after a car wash and was trying to drive away when the Rover decided it didn't want to rev past 1000 RPM. At first, it had power under this threshold and I was able to limp it using all 5 gears (R380) to a nearby parking lot. However, the engine got worse and worse, beginning to misfire heavily, to the point where it was undrivable, even in low range. Now if I attempt to rev past 700 RPM it breaks up and sounds awful (misfires, popping from exhaust) and runs horribly at idle. I had zero check engine lights during this time and finally ended up getting a P1314 error code. All this tells me is that misfires on the passenger side bank are causing catalytic converter damage. Has anyone seen these symptoms before? I attempted to troubleshoot on my own, including checking all 5 vacuum hoses for leaks (none), using a fuel pressure tester on the rail (above 30 psi at idle and rises with revs), and checking connections to all wires and spark plugs.
Any thoughts?

Check connectors for water intrusion, one of most common problems. MAF, coils, injectors, CKpS, TPS and so on....... At the time your Disco was made LR didn't exactly have waterproof electrical connectors quite right.
Thanks guys. Could not find any evidence of water causing problems with connections, however I too suspect that water is responsible. The truck got towed to the shop so I am hoping to find out a little more this week. I will report back if I find the cause.
