Here's my thing, you have to understand how the whole process works to see why some are so opposed to it. You're sucking in solvents that were never meant to go into an engine in an attempt to loosen up all the crap lodged in the top end. Sea Foam misses more stuff than it breaks loose and what it does break loose gets chewed up, burned off or spit out somewhere else down the line so it can create an issue somewhere else.

The right way to clean anything internal is not breaking it loose and sending it down stream. The right way is to remove the parts in question, clean them, and re install. This method keeps all of the debris from effecting the rest of the motor.

Look at it like this, if you had a mouth full of poo, you'd never swish around mouthwash and swallow, you'd spit it out. By swallowing you'd just have poo and mouthwash in your stomach instead of your mouth

Anyway let's keep it friendly, that's the joy of forums. There are so many different opinions and experiences we may sometimes disagree but we all contribute a wealth of knowledge that helps the entire community.

Guys like me and Danny aren't telling the guy he will kill his engine, we're just making the risks known so he can form an educated decision.

Continued from above thanks to my phone running out of space........

Sea Foam is one of those things that some of us swear by and others swear at. I'd never use it because I have a machine shop at my disposal. I do understand that's a luxury and having things professionally cleaned is pricey. All I can say is doing it yourself is doing it at your own risk. Bad things don't always happen, but they do happen.

And I am definitely opposed to eating perfectly good fish bait as well. I would rather have the fun of catching the fish, cooking it and then consuming it.

But if some of you prefer Sushi and SeaFoam, have at it.

Well Aaron, Somebody needs to tear you apart for the absolute waste of perfectly good Fish Bait.

I guess you could smoke some fish the next time you use the Seafoam!!!!

As long as you have fun, that's all that matters...............

Or if you are having a cook out with Zombie steaks, the SeaFoam will kill off the pesky mosquitos...
