Default Serpentine belt lifespan ?

Curious what y’all are finding on your trucks for the serpentine belts lifespan? I put an allmakes on mine about two years ago and it’s just done. Couldn’t believe it. Only put about 15K in that time and on the ribbed side it’s cracked all to hell with big patches missing altogether. I’ve NEVER had a belt go so bad so fast. I think I’m just gonna get a genuine LR belt this weekend and skip the aftermarket.

First.....Allmakes, Britpart, etc belts are garbage!!! Total waste of time and money.

You want a Gates K070882 & those will last min 50K. Rockauto has them for about $25.00 and you can also get them local from NAPA #25070882 for about the same price. RA> http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....316063&jsn=407

Also remember to check that all your pulleys are in alignment and spinning freely. And check the belt tensioner & depending on mileage/last time replaced, replace it with the new belt.
And now you are on your way to HAPPY TOWN!!!

Appreciate that very good info. I have a gates on order now but my truck is my DD so in the meantime I was able to get a Dayco. Which allmakes now stickers over as their PR2 line. Supposedly dayco is oem. I’ll probably run the dayco til it takes a dump but I’ll gave that gates in the cargo hold on standby.

When the Gates Belt comes in put it on ASAP and put that turd of a Dayco in the toolbox.
Just another brand that as fallen way off in quality. I had a Dayco last on a DI for 4K miles about a year ago. I didn't have a Gates at the time so tried the Dayco again, and that was the wrong choice for me. Similar thing happened to a friend with a Dayco Belt on a F150.
Good Luck!

I tried a Dayco, noisy as hell. I went with a Gatorback. That was over 25K ago. No complaints.
