Well try the filter first, it may be doing a great job and keeping all the junk out of the system. It may have become too restricted. Who knows what kind of gas you got along the way. At least with the Disco you can make your own expressway exits like everyone else in Houston.

Advanced Auto had one in stock when I needed one but the price was outrageous so I just went across the street to NAPA and snagged just the pump. I had their part numbers for the pump and pick-up screen at one time but seem to have misplaced them.

For $209 I know it fits, its genuine and comes with all the hardware needed. I will try fuel filter first, if that doesn't work, will do the fule pump.

In Houston, you are at nearly 100% humidity.
You need to get a very good distributor cap, wires and rotor.
You'll be fine then.

You probably got a carbon arc on the rotor or cap.
Don't clean them.
Replace them.

@jfall, the rotor was just changed, cap was inspected recently and had no issues. I had this problem prior where it wouldn't start in August. Dealer changed rotor and all was well. Currently she is iddling low at times, fuel at the rail this morning while turned to "on" position read at @15psi. Yesterday she cranked normally same as the last 4 weeks. Wires are new Magnecor 8mm and plugs are new E3.46 ( recommended by Disco Mike ).

I have gone ahead and ordered a new fuel pump assembly from Atlantic Brittish, $132 plus shipping for a new assembly and all hardware. I will have it tomorrow morning. I am more than thankful for all of the replies and help. I feel this is the best way to fix the issue at hand, its all new with warranty.

New fuel pump is in, psi is at 26 on the rail, still not starting. Also, new assembly has a extra opening at top of pump, is this an overflow?

Pressure is still low. Have you checked the inline fuel filter yet?

Not an overflow. I believe you have the pump for an Advance Evap Loss vehicle which came about mid 97. Yours is not. Good price for an AEL pump though.

Pump has a vent so that tank can be drained in case I had to drop the tank. Went ahead and changed fuel filter today as well plus new spark plugs, it wants to turn over but isn't... I'm stumped and no codes.
