Default Shifting to Neutral without Power?

Anyone know how to shift the D1 to neutral when off and without power? Starter died so I’m unable to start it up to shift to neutral.

Thanks!

Engine doesn't need to be running to shift to neutral.
Just turn to Pos II and then it will retract the lock when you press the brake.

Otherwise, its taking the shifter cover off to expose the lock under the bezel and tape - at which point its faster to slide under the truck and remove the linkage from the transmission to toss it in N.

For some reason when the vehicle died it wouldn’t shift from park to neutral even with the key in position II.

the battery was tested and is fully functional
