Installed a terrafirma steering damper. The 17yr/old 106k mile original was long gone.

Picked up front and rear 4.12 Ashcroft ring and pinion gears for $262 shipped!
So 33's or 35's?

Also got my steering damper bracket back from the welder, AKA Jake. The man does nice work!

Finally pulled out the fuel pump assembly. What I though was rust on the retaining ring was actually some type of hardened brown sealer. I ended up using a Dremel to cut the retaining ring loose. I had already gotten a new one.

The AEL sensor vent hose was shredded. The steel lines were a rusty mess and the plastic that should have been molded around them was cracked & broken from the rust pushing them out. The rubber seal was in upside down, probably why the sealer was added. There was as kinds of debris in the snap on bottom that contained the pump including sizable parts of those blue shop towels. The wire from the wiper arm of the fuel level sensor was broken. One of the rubber "feet" that hold the pump in place was missing.

I cut the plastic around the lines going into the top off.

I used a wire brush on the Dremel to clean off the fuel lines and coated them with POR15.

I then used epoxy around the area the plastic was in to seal the entry and retina the lines in position.

I cleaned out all of the crap. I'm going to have to drain the tank and check to see what's in there.

I put in a new fuel pump sources from EBay for $20. The pump had obviously been replaced before, but done wrong.

I soldered a new litz wire onto the wiper of the fuel gauge.

I have to consider how I'm going to get the one rubber part that holds the bottom in place. Anyone know if these are available?

I really like 'em. I'll try to post a pic soon. If I were you, just ppk then up directly to your battery to see for yourself. THe only downside is they take about 30 seconds to warm up.

I can say with these on my headlights appear extreemely dim. I thought just they daytime running lights were on when I first turned them on.
