Didn't feel like getting nutserts for the LR ladder I picked up, so it's on with larger self-tapers. Doesn't feel like it's going anywhere.
If I feel the need to swap them out for the proper nutserts, the holes they drilled are still smaller than the nutsert holes required.

My ladder was installed when I got it, no nut inserts just held on by big sheet metal screws and my rig did not look messed with

The shop is not a dealer, they work on british cars and trucks.

Got all new speakers installed. 4" two-ways in the front doors, 5" two-ways in the rear pillars, and new subs in the rear door. Sounds MUCH better than the dual-cone crap that was from the factory. At least I'll have some good tunes if I do something like drive cross-country to the left coast. Not sure the truck would make it all the way there, but the tunes would!

Also replaced the new 235/85-16 tires I bought about 10 days ago with some 245/75s. I just wasn't liking how the 235/85s looked, so they're off and on Craig's List now.

Question - the tire guys at WalMart ran into problems with trying to remove the lug nuts. They didn't have a big enough socket, and when they showed it to me, I said to myself, "WTF?" What's the deal with those shiny caps, which my hand can turn a little bit back and forth? Three out of the four wheels have these types of lug nuts, and one wheel has what looks to be "regular" lug nuts that fit the lug wrench just fine. They found an "X" type lug wrench, and were able to use one of the ends it to remove and re-install the shiny lug nuts. I went to an auto parts store, and found a 29mm axle nut socket that fits these shiny lug nuts perfectly. So I'm going to buy a 1/2" drive breaker bar, put that socket on the end, and keep it with the lug wrench in the car.
