So what did you do to your Disco today?

New tire day! After the first snow of the year, it became painfully obvious that the tires needed to be replaced. They were in very good shape last year when we bought the Disco, with very little tread wear. Not the tires I would have chosen, but I wasn't about to toss almost new tires off of a winter ride that was cheap. Well, I should have. They sucked in snow, especially braking. In fact the LR masked how horrible these tires were in every way in respect to snow and ice. One year and 20k miles later, they have surprisingly not improved! After not being able to stop on a slight incline at 5 mph, and the LR refusing to backup the same hill, tires spinning madly, I had had enough. Nice new BFG ATs all around. Rides better, handles better, has infinitely better traction on hard packed snow and ice. Fuel economy appears to have taken a hit, but that will take a few tanks to confirm. The Disco will no longer suffer embarrassment at the hands of its Mini stablemate (on pure snows) when it comes to climbing up to, and descending from, our house. Of course, they cost over half the Disco's purchase price...

Issue: Have a vibration, seems like prop shafts. Got under it and shafts are not loose. Couldn't jack her up and set on stands cause my brother has one of my 4 stands. Damn truck , thought it was my exhaust cause I noticed pass side was loose. Put it in N and ran to 1500rpm(when I feel the vibe) and she was smooth.
