It turns out thread chasers in M20x1.5 are not to be had, so I acquired a tap in that size. I was leary of cutting completely new threads but with a great deal of care and anti-sieze, stopping and backing out frequently, the original threads were reestablished. However, it's not a deep hole and the tap bottomed out before too long so only the first three or so threads were cleaned up but this was enough for the next step. To get good threads to the bottom of the hole I removed the fitting from the old hose, cut six flutes across the threads and used that as a thread chaser to the bottom of the hole. With the good starting threads this makeshift chaser was able to go in straight and do the job, again stopping and backing up when it felt it was galling. Reinstalled the line, the new fitting felt right going in, tightened as it should, and no more leak.

Naming Contention w/Cypress Tophat
Determined name and ideology for him. Beastie Bleu Finished de-splintering 5' mostly straight cypress limb tapering from 1 5/8" to 1 1/4" now has water tight seed bag from California Gold pinned to long side. Opposite side of bag has broken rake handle 4" wider than front sunroof tack pinned. Tophat counters leakage during monsoon downpour. Rear snrf not leaking BUT wth dealer was thinking...black caulking applied fully to indented channel, THEN!!!, LR factory cobalt touch up paint carefully applied. They did a good wax job before dabbing paint. So frik em frak em (NO WAIT, wrong place)... paint doesn't stick well to quality wax, old seal surround nor caulking. Sure hope it doesn't eat aluminum too. Not going to touch before completing front repair. May need to replace headlining with wood all the way.
No bad effects from over rev on way down hill from Lake. Mileage still bad but much better than 86 Suburban. 91 F-350 4X 4dr, 2004 Jeep Wrangler and bit worse than 86 Samurai. Clearance and 'wheelin' capability between good and superior. Overall I'm liking Bleu Beast.
Sent not to Mr. Tillery saying hi. Got nice welcome to the camp reply and it was another gorgeous day here. Still reading on rough idle. Will replace new plug wires that show 8mm but that is dia of whole wire, core 7.62. Must be NATO thinking. Pain over running pills. Peace, Out.

I'm due for emissions testing again and the Commies in IL won't even look at my truck if the OBDII plug is "loose".
All the plastic and cardboard lower trim is long gone on my truck, which includes the original mounting spot for the OBDII plug. I tried rigging it with zip ties but that wasn't happening.
Soooooo I made a new bracket from thin guage sheet metal.

I had to splice in a new plug because the old one corroded. I figure if I make a nice plate for it to mount the emissions-****'s won't be looking at the cable and thinking I tampered with it.
