got in my 97 d1 and while driving tried to put my rear windows down and nothing! checked fuses and switches and nothing! found the thread and a youtube video on removing the motherboard and pulled out an old soldering iron and just repeated what i saw in video and carefully put back in truck and WOW! it worked, hardest part was trying to be so careful so as not to f-up the board while getting it out and handleing it while soldering then getting it back in,feeling pretty damn proud !!!

Full detail. wash, wax, clean, vacuum. Looks pretty now.

Replaced fuel filter. Odd thing about the fuel filter, totally psychological I'm sure...felt like the truck had a bit more pep on acceleration after the change. Theoretically there could be a difference, but since it was only 2 years old I'm betting it is just in my head.

Default Replaced ABS sensor bushes...

Replaced ABS sensor bushes and oil seals, reset the ABS faults using the blink test. Seems to be back to normal (i.e. ABS light goes out as expected now).

I did the same, which seemed to improve the situation for a while, but I ultimately needed new sensors. The good news is you can find them at a VERY reasonable price these days and they are quite easy to install.

Did a little seat repair. Nothing like the wife seeing a thread and pulling it like a rip cord.

Changed both oil cooler hoses and did an oil and filter change. Took about an hour. Super easy job.
