It actually purrs like a kitten at 1200 and 1000 under load.
I do not know much on the obd1 d1 but iirc the TPS is adjustable? Someone smarter will chime in I am sure

Got the oil and filter changed, u-joints greased, and differential fluids changed. Next will be 'plugs and wires (it's just shy of 150K, that'll be my starting point with routine maintenance)...

Worked on my rear tail lights, I noticed the other day that the left side brake light worked with the headlights off, but with them on, the light went out. I took the jump seat out and looked at the wiring, removed the tail light assembly, and found the light bulb holder had some plastic melted across the contact for the ground. Cleaned it off and it now works fine. Should have checked the bulb first before I took everything apart.

After I finished, 5 min later, the truck was gone. Some day I may get to drive it again.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm waiting until I can get all the bearings to do them while I have everything apart, along with brake pads which I already have, and fix the wobble which isn't major yet but I want to catch it early.
Edit: And I want to do the springs and shocks also. Maybe 2" higher? That would make it a full day project for sure.

It appears he was working on a '97. Standard with ABS I believe? Where my ,95 I do not think has ABS. What would be the difference with the swivel pins?

Abs ones are hollow for the sensor guessing that's the difference

lost my battle with my lower intake plenum replacing my thermostat. whoever worked on the truck prior REALLY ghetto-rigged one of the bolts, so i have to replace the plenum. i already posted on dweb but didnt get too much of a reply, so far i know i need the lower gasket, and two intake manifold seals. i'll probably end up calling rovernorth in the morning to get it all sorted out.

Default Tyres

At last the Disco is on almost "Big Boy Tyres"
Fitted 235/85/R16 Q. I could not Find the correct conversion but think it will be 32's or 31.8.
Tried 265/75/16's but was seriously rubbing against radius arms on three quarter turn.
The brand is Nankang en yes it is made in Taiwan.
Quotes from more known brands like Dunlop,Bridgestone etc. exceeded $ 2000.
This 5 tires was fitted, balanced and wheel allighnment done for $1000-00.

Ouch. That sucks.
Could you drill it and heli-coil it or is it completely trashed?

now it is trashed. i tried every combo of drilling/heat/extraction and ended up tapping a hole slightly up and to the left of the factory bolt, but i couldnt get it to seal 100%. the last dude working on it could have taken another half an hour and put in a helicoil but i guess he was just too much of a nincompoop. funny thing is, the coolant i drained out was fresh and green, and the stat that was in place was an OEM waxstat. oh well. as long as the intake plenum shows up on time from ebay i should be up and running this weekend.

on the other hand, my brass fitting adventure proved successful and was able to get a fitting and then an adapter to thread into the boss below the thermostat housing for a water temp sensor.
