Not today, but last night I changed the gear oil in both diffs, saftey wired my sewer cap front diff guard to the panhard bar, greased the driveline, put my rear diff guard on and changed out my spark plugs in preparation for a trip this weekend to go wheeling in the southern sierras.

Why did you safety wire a sewer cap, aren't they welded on?
I like the Equipe, did you get that from Justin when he had his blowout sale?

Well I havent been working on the disco much was waiting for Toy conversion parts and I picked up a 88 RRC last weekend. RRC is pretty solid for what I paid for it. It was leaking coolant and dying I believe due to electric issues.

So far on the RRC I have replaced and plan to replace -
valley pan gasket, plug wires, almost all of the hoses and clamps, all of the filters, belts, coolant flushed, all oil and tranny fluid changed, and new radiator. Cleaned all ground connections to hopefully resolve the electric issue we will see once it's all put back together.

Got to build a rear toy 8" for the conversion.. Just waiting on new bearings then I'll be good to finish the Disco.

Here are some pictures of the axles.. I'll post up some other stuff once I get it this weekend.

I bought my first Rover a couple of weeks ago, a 98' Disco

In the last few days I have flushed the coolant, changed the oil/filter, checked the rest of the fluids and installed a new ignition switch, front seats and power mirror from a Disco that was being parted on craigslist.

My oil filters came yesterday.
I bought them off of e-bay, $15 shipped, they are brand new old stock.

While replacing front bearings today, I noticed this:

Do I need a new hub? New bearings did not "fix" the noise I'm hearing when cornering around right curves...
