So what did you do to your Disco today?
okay, did the prop shaft. damn those bolts did not want to come out without a fight. and two cans of penetrating oil. after some skinned knuckles, cursing, yelling, more cursing the bolts decided to spin off, hence the skinned knuckles. more cursing. oil change, rotella 15w 40. dex III for the tranny. hawk rotors and performance pads on all 4 corners. bled the brakes. next on list, dumping the anti-freeze, power steering flush, changing out my cats (since the previous owner gutted them) and possibly removing either the big muffler or the end muffler. one of those suckers is going. tried to see if there was a way to run a dual outlet exhaust. and nope, not that i can see. unless someone else has done a dual outlet exhaust, the only way i can see it being a dual outlet is to run them out in front of the rear tires, ala G wagon from mercedes. still got the ticking sound, just not as loud since i changed to the rotella oil. hope hope hope it goes away, but it's probably like old luggage, here to stay.
Everyone has horror stories about the drive shaft bolts. Maybe it being a southern truck helps but mine came off without the slightest bit of trouble. Guess I'll count my blessings.
That's what I'm saying, mine weren't bad at all!
Replace o2 sensors. The sensors came out no problem, but it took me a long time to figure out the connectors which are so hard to reach. Otherwise not too bad. I got a screaming good deal on the sensors at Rock Auto - they were factory close outs, two shipped for about $54.
Woah, that is a good deal! I may have to actually try and navigate Rock Auto's site if those deals are around.
Lol, wtf.
Passed emissions today! Yay.
Yeah, I was doing the happy dance.
I bought the truck two months ago - the window's been shattered for two years..

Got my Mandy back after being down since this past spring. She wouldn't start, damn timing(plug wires got swiched up and I don't know how). Now i just have to get the front end on and an inspection sticker. And I'm on the road again.
