You can buy a new bulb for like $2 for the clock.

 

I put a new bulb in. Didn't work. Something wrong with the circuit board. Changed a diode we thought was bad, but when replaced the clock smelled like it was burning up. Wound up just buying a new clock altogether. Found an inexpensive one on ebay.
