Default Swapping the X-case

So ive just started to really think about replacing my Broken X-case and i found a couple used ones for around 400-500 bucks which isnt terrible, The only thing is i couldnt afford a shop to do it. So id have to do it at my dads... Hes got a garage and backyard and all his mechanic tools. Except he doesnt have a hoist... Has anyone done a X-case swap? Id imagine id have to remove the exhaust and a couple other things... Whats the hardest thing about a X-case is what im wondering...

You don't need a hoist.
Hardest part is lowering it and putting the other one in place. Not fun if you're alone, but two people should be able to handle it without an issue.
I've never done one on a Disco without the gearbox/transfer box assembly already out, so can't address that. But I have done them on Series rovers from underneath, and they seem to weigh about the same.

Did you look at the RAVE? I would before I jump into something like that.
