Default Sway bars on a D1, 1996

I recently purchased a '96 D1 that has been lifted and modified with off road gear. It appears to have both front and rear frame mounts for sway bars but the sway bars / links have been removed, does anyone know what years will fit. Is anyone parting a D1 and have a set they would like to sell?

Thanks, Joe in NH

any year from 1996 to 1998 should work. technically all the way up to half way through '99.
if you are in the north east contact Paul Grant, a member here who sells used parts. i believe that he is also in the NE.

When the truck is lifted the geometry of the sway bars is changed and they bind up when the suspension is flexed, you're probably better off without them

I still have my sway bars and a 3"lift and dont notice any binding, if you want maximum articulation then leave them off.

I don't know how that's possible. Those links have to be flipping amd getting stuck uo against the spring every time you flex a little.

Lift has been in for 10 years and done some pretty gnarly tracks without issues.

laonrangie is in Australia, so like the toilets swirling in the opposite direction, the swaybars do to!

Yep that must be it, if it was binding and rubbing there would be tell tale signs and after spending a few hours replacing all the bushes on my koni shocks there are no signs at all.
