Can anyone tell me the difference between a 8 mm swivel housing seal and a 12 mm swivel housing seal

But I was wondering if there was a benefit or reason for having a 12mm seal versus an 8mm seal.
Does it really matter or do I have to have a specific seal size for my disco which is a 97 SE 4L

 

Is one for chrome swivel one for Teflon swivel?, may need to call parts supplier

 

Maybe, that's what my thoughts were, the kits I'm looking at both come with Teflon coated swivels but different sized seals so I'm not sure, that's kind of what brought the question up in the first place actually.

 

I have been looking for a while I still can't find any difference between them. Has anyone used any of the Britpart swivel ball housing kits with the replacement ball included

 

I couldn't resist, and I wasn't at home to look it up.
The parts book lists 9mm (FTC3401) and 12.5mm (571890) for Disco's without anti-lock brakes, and only a 9mm (FTC3401)for Disco's with anti-lock.
