Good thinking by the way on removing it from the vehicle, you don't want that garbage running down into your engine. Never understood people "cleaning" those things while still attached to the engine.

Yeah, that is about the only way I feel comfortable doing that. And put in a new set of plugs and see what the ones coming out look like.

Yes, where it will be burned off.
If you let it run onto the engine it will not only eat the paint off of your valve covers it will also smoke like a mother trucker when you start the engine, and smell really bad.

Danny did you Sea Foam your induction system recently? I have read so many of those threads lately I can't remember if one belonged to you. If you did it will be real interesting for the advocates to see how much crap is left behind. In the back of my mind I think I remember you being on the darkside with myself as one of the few miracle in a can haters

I avoided doing the Seafoam Induction, I have added it to the gas maybe twice with a little bit into the oil each time.

I have done so much work and wiping on most of my reachable engine areas, that I cleaned all the old smudge off the engine. It's looking clean enough to even read the forging numbers and stuff.

Got the engine compartment pretty clean. Took the insulation blanket out long time ago cuase it was so nasty. Bought a new thermostat but have not yet put it in. hould get a new fan clutch on it too.

Maybe replace the two wire temp input to the ECU.
