Default Tie bar between T box and main gear box

OK, so I snapped my front drive shaft and it took out the tie bar that links the transfer box to the main gear box (its located right above the drive shaft).
I can't for the life of me find a replacement anywhere - or even a part number.
Local Pick n Pulls don't have any Discos (this is a 1998 Disco 1).
Anyone know where I might find this bar?
I am guessing it serves to limit too much flex/movement between the 2 boxes - and I might get away with disconnecting until I can find a used replacement.
Or maybe I will get it welded back up (it snapped the rear end with the bolt hole off) although I am afraid it may be aluminum.

Anyone know how critical this bar might be?
ANyone ever run without one?

XCELLER8,
Thanks for the offer - I may take you up on that.
PST me with how much you would want for it.

That's the part you are looking for, FRC7500 . Looks like a new one would have to be ordered > Product Details - Rovers North - Classic Land Rover Parts

I would take XCELLER8 up on his offer. Good luck!
