I’m sure this has been discussed many times but I have some questions. Is there any modification to the tire carrier that needs to be done? I have 265/75/16 tires on. Does the weight affect the door hinges? If so, are there any fixes to compensate?

Also, what center console light bulbs do I need to order? The little green ones or red ones? I have been searching with no luck. Might be a stupid question but it’s driving me crazy not being able to see the air/heat adjustment

I modded my spare tire carrier to fit a 305/70 on it and then went to a 315/75. Never had a problem with my door hinges.

 

Do you have any pictures or instructions?

 

the only thing I ended up doing for that size was 1/4" spacers I made from little bits of aluminum and drilled holes in to space the tire out and keep it from rubbing on the door. Probably not necessary, but its better for the paint and lets you tighten it against the tire carrier rather than against the door.

 

This is where my 315/75 sits. I did have to add the Rover Connection mount to my modded OEM mount to get it to fit. I will post a picture of mount setup when I get home.
