Tire Size
Yeah the visual really helps when building a rig. Thanks again for the reference Fish. I think I'm pretty close if not equal to the size of lift in the middle rig now that I installed the spring spacers. My rig is harder to hop into now and I'm 6'3''... Lol.
Yeah I only had 3" RTE springs in there with some spring wedges under the back spring perches. Your truck looks good. You may want to toss some rubber isolators between your front spacers and the upper spring perch to reduce any harshness/chatter.
No chatter as of yet. I did add a dab of grease to the perches for that same reason. I will do it if it does chatter in the future. They sell these things called spring boosters at O'reilly auto parts that I can throw in without having to remove it all again.
I ran 285s on a 2" lift and for a while with my 3" RTE springs. They are a good tire size as well, I just wanted 35s because all my wheeling buddies are on 37s or 40s with buggies or truggies and I had the drivetrain to hold them.
Search the Camel Cut. You trim a very little bit off the back or the front and rear fenders to clear the tires. You can make it look good where you wouldn't be able to tell by glancing at the truck.
With 3" of lift you should have no problems with 235/85 or even 255/85 with very little trimming.
