Default Tires..so many to choose from, now I'm lost..

I purchased my 97 Land Rover Discovery last week, the previous owner used different tires on the front and back.

I've got two that I like but not sure which is better.

Michelin LTX A/T2
Hankook Dynapro AT-M

Not sure if those are good choices, so I was hoping members might be able to give me some direction for the best choice

Thank you
Britney

I have had excellent service from every Michelin I have ever owned.

Do not know anything about either one of these specific ones, both are good Brand Names and that is a good thing these days.

One primary consideration is your planned usage and matching up the best one on that basis. How much off-road vs city/highway?

Both are good tires......

Can't go wrong with Michelin tires, Hankook....solid tires too. But if you are looking for the trifecta; (my three factors) long wear life, good tread pattern and price, go for what fits your budget.

If money is no object....my person fav...right now...GT Grabber: General Tire - Off-Road and Performance Tires - The Tires - Light Truck & SUV

I took a look at the link, awesome looking but it did not list any tire sizes that I can run.

I saw some awesome GoodYear TA KO's a while back but could not find them locally, so I got the Bridgestone Dueler ATP's decent but not first choice either.

If you do minimal off roading on the weekends and mainly drive around town what tires do you guys recommend?

Get the AT-M's!!!
They are a great tire, I almost bought them.
Most of the construction workers around here are using them.

Not much in sizes: General Tires Grabber - General Tires Grabber - General Tire - Tires - by 4 Wheel Parts

But, 4WheelParts has hell of a deal on 265/75/16's, good deal! Definitely going for these when my rig is all sorted.

BFG....KO's...right? Those are tried and true....

In one of the latest 4x4 magazines, they did a test on all the most popular brands. Can't remember which one took the crown...check it out.

Got brand new tires and decided to go with the Michelin LTX A/T2, very happy with them. Biggest purchase to date and glad I decided on those, next on the list is the leaking power steering box and getting the windows tinted

Yeah, I meant the BFG TA KO's they look awesome.

There are tons of tires out there. The recycling yard near me has a new outlet selling used tires and wheels.

It's a shame how much a new set for a DSiscovery can cost you.
