I replaced the IAC and cleared the code, but it kept coming back like clock work after 1 hour of driving,

Does the forum have a library for this adaptive factory resetting app in a folder somewhere?
Am not sure on a library for resetting the adaptive values, but I used the GEMS lite app that I found on a google search, but it's for older android as I couldn't get it to work right on my newer phone, but it worked fine with my old Note 4. I also purchased the Torque app for regular use, and bought a OBDLink LX bluetooth to use with both the GEMS lite, and Torque apps. As far as the adaptive reset at least for my 96 Disco I I just opened the app up, hit the button for adaptive reset in the GEMS lite app, and then drove it a bit, and checked it again. I think it did take a couple tries for it to take finally, but I also had ordered a new TPS, and had thoroughly cleaned out the spot in which it mounts as it was a bit dirty as well. I can't say if it would work with the Disco II as I have no experience with them, and can't say what is different or what is similar, but I did find a post with someone having the same problem, and will put the link to it below. Honestly what I would try is cleaning out the TPS, and MAF tunnels, as well as cleaning the MAF as mine can get rather grouchy when it's dirty. Not sure if this is of much help to ya, and hopefully it makes sense, as I don't always word things the best way. But rule of thumb I have figured out is always start with the easiest and cheapest fixes first as sometimes it's just something as minor as dirty components rather than a completely bad part.

Thanks for the info and replying to my post. I discover that I have an "OBD Adanced" dongle from having purchased an android radio which came with an inline ODB dongle. Now I need to find the GEMS lite apps online and learn how to use everything.

Greenrovy you said your car is a D2. It’s Bosch/Motronics, not GEMS.

DOH, I completely spaced that the D2 used a different ECU setup, sorry bout that. So the GEMS lite app wouldn't work on your rig greenrovey

TRek, My car is a D2, Bosch Tronic. Which apps should I use if I need to reset besides using Nanocom?
