Default Transfer case shift alarm?

I finally was able to try out my transfer box hi/lo operation today for the first time since replacing the wiring to the solenoid and position switch that the Yahoos had cut off. I didn't think my soldering of new wires on the position switch's 1/16" long wire stubs was successful when I tested the switch, but I wired it anyhow while I had the harness apart.

Today I was hearing a continuous buzz-tone alarm if the shift lever was not shoved forcefully into high or low; does this mean the position switch is actually working? I couldn't think of anything else that would trigger an alarm that turns off if I push the transfer box shifter harder.

In low it acted like it took a little time for the drive train to catch, almost a slip and grab or wind-up feeling. Is this normal? Once moving it did something that felt similar, but I think it might be just auto tranny gear changes at lower speed than I am used to. BTW, the CDL works easily now and I can hear it clink in .

Transfer neutral alarm

Low is real low and slow

CDL and low only for off road, its great they both work but unless you off road you may never need them which is why they stop working
