Default Transmission light doesn't turn off.

Disco 1997 petrol. My tranny light has come on for no reason. I had the tranny box serviced but it still won't turn off. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Chris

Bad or dirty transmission temperature switch. One is located on transmission fluid cooing line at the radiator. The other is on transfer case.

Thank you. I am not very mechanical minded. Is the remedy something I can attempt myself or should I take it to a mechanic.

Hey Mike, thank you for your previous advise. I changed the temp switch and the light is off. Would you by any chance have a lead plug diagram to send me. If so I appreciate it and I thank you in advance. Chris
