Default Ultra-Gauge Surprise

I received my Ultra-Gauge today and I have to admit when I first opened the box I was a little surprised at how cheap it looked, the packaging didn't help. I immediately remembered reading the FAQ sheet about how it is they can sell them so cheap and thought well this is how. I Stand Corrected. Once I got it out to the Disco, down loaded the manual and started the process of setting it up, I was more than pleased with it. It is quite the impressive little unit...

I got a cheap bluetooth adaptor and an app for my android tablet, has done quite a bit of good for me already.

I've seen mention of the ultragauges before, how much more useful are they than any other ODBII scanner?

I paid 10$ or so for mine, and the app can read any PID's as long as you know what to look for.. there is an addon to the app for disco II's but I have not found anything to help it talk to the other control modules on the CAN bus as of yet..

Useful as in half the price..... plus alarm set points plus custom display plus don't need to leave your phone in truck for SWMBO to get the alarm if she is driving at 240F

Its invaluable in monitoring the ECU input/outputs, calculating MPGs,seeing if anything is wrong with the car.

Packaging is one thing, but incredible function is another. My mechanic had been using some bluetooth adapters and his smartphone for his D2 and had been recommending it to his customers...and was floored when he saw how much functionality there was in the UG. I'm glad you came around
