Even if you lowered the intake air temp at the air box (where it is getting the temp reading) it has a throttle body heater.
I have noticed that when the head lights are on the intake temp is much higher.
BUT...the intake temps are high because the air box trumpet is right next to the radiator and it is pulling in hot air from there.
It's been in the 20's here in the morning, by time I get to work my intake temps are over 100*F.
But that is with the lights on and of course the hot radiator.

I bet a snorkel would lower air temps
