Default Water Pump Bolts

Looking at the rave manual, they state the long water pump bolts need to be coated with loctite 572 thread sealer.

Does anyone know if the silicone gasket makers in a tube would be a suitable substitute?

Or how about teflon pipe thread tape?

You would probably be ok with silicone....but I prefer permatex "non - hardening gasket sealer" . oil and water wont effect it.....great for sealing those bolt threads, we use a lot of it here and have good resullts. It wouldnt be a bad idea to use "hylomar" on your waterpump gasket( &/ or frt cover gasket)
