I see there are different crank pos sensors listed for auto or manual trans... can anyone confirm that they're actually different?? I found one on Craigslist locally but it's for an auto. I was about to order the one from rockauto, but if I could get one today I'd be one happy dude.

What is different is the spacer depth. You can get a new one from Rock Auto for like $30.

Just use your existing spacer with whatever CKP you get.

That should do it.

The correct air gap between the tip of the CKP sensor and the passing teeth of the reluctor ring can
be set by the correct fitting of a spacer as follows:
9.2 mm spacer for vehicles with manual gearbox fitted.
18 mm spacer for vehicles with automatic gearbox fitted

Ok, so on the rockauto website I see a ckp sensor for auto listed for $30 and one for a manual listed for $90. You're saying I can just buy the less expensive one and reuse my spacers?

Waiting for a reply on this as well....I'm always looking for more affordable sensors to change out.

Does anyone have a definite answer on this?

It does not come with a spacer at all. I have an auto so I just reused the spacer. It's just a piece of metal. I assume you could just use your manual spacer. Don't quote me though
