It's an old Huawei Honor 6x. I'm sure the Chinese are really getting a kick out of my struggles.

I had a D1 with a crazy idle and the ECU itself was corroded badly. Only way the D1 would run was if the VSS was unplugged, and the A/C was on. Removed the ECU and found it badly corroded. Grabbed another unit from LKQ, then I found the IAC wouldn't ever move, replaced it with a unit from a Jeep, reset the adaptive settings via the Lynx and I adjusted the TB (under the cap a bit to make it perfect) idles like a champ now.

Does changing the ECU not mess up the immobilizer settings?

I don't want to open mine up without a spare on hand, ebay has quite a few for what seems to be a reasonable price.

Check the ECU for corrosion and don't forget about the battery/alternator.

ECU wise you should be able to swap the ECU without messing up the 10AS unit. 97-99 AEL ECU's are much more common vs non AEL ECU's. I have 3 ECU's for my 97 and I can switch em around without any issues.

New IAC installed and now I have a rock solid ~800rpm idle with good AC compensation characteristics.

I can live with that.

Thank you for all the help!
