Default What is the recommended way to remove stub axle bearing and seal ?

Hi all,

What is the recommended way to remove stub axle bearing and seal ? Normally I use a punch to drive the old ones out but since the stub axle is so narrow it does not allow you to get much of an angle for contact on the seal to drive it out. Also do you need to remove the bronze bushing if you replace the bearing and seal. The bushing looks good but was not sure it is directly tied to the removal and replacement of the bearing and seal. I have heard that the bronze bushing restricts the removal and installation based on it compressing the area where the bearing is installed.

Any information would be a great help.
