I put the first oil change on my 98 and found the PO hadn't used a gasket on the drain plug and I couldn't find where I had put the 10 pack I had tracked down for my 96. NAPA doesn't even list it by application, either. I put it back together with a 90 durometer o-ring I had (wife was out of town with the other car!), but it bothers me and I will change next weekend. I'm remembering 1" ID, but surely someone has it written down or a spare to look at!

I used to think all the "Senior Members" (Paul, Walt, etc) were the wise, old sages of Rover quirks and lore - true icons of the Rover world!! If I study hard and pay attention, maybe someday I would reach that lofty pinnacle of success and prestige...
