Default Whining sound from engine when idling

My Disco1 has whining sound when idling ( it is a bit loud), sound goes away as soon as i press gas pedal...no whine when accelerating/driving.
Whine stars after car warms up...close to its full operation temp.

Does anyone had this problem or have some input on what can cause it?

get a long screwdriver and put it on everything that has something spinning. You can hear the bearings through the handle. Be careful to not put it on anything actually spinning and do not get your hair caught in the belt.

A lady came into the shop yesterday with a bandage on the back of her head and a squealing belt..... it happens scalped her..

Check your vacume lines also. The motor will pull more vacume at idle and as soon as you open the throttle you tend to loose vacume causing the noise to go away
