I had to have the windsheild replaced and they tucked the wiring up under the headliner so I wasn't able to tell you the colors, but I'm sure it is what the others have said since.

 

Don't worry, if you wire it incorrectly the sensor in the mirror won't let your dash lights turn on until it gets dark enough out. Ask me how I know... One of the the very first mods I did, works great.

So here I am with a Disco 1 and a Disco 2 mirror, with the leads from the car being black, grey, and white. But the mirror is black, dark green, and light green with white stripe. Any suggestion from the smart folks?

Wires hanging down are from car, wires going across are from mirror.

 

Black - black... as close to 100% sure as it gets.

You can use trial and error on the other two.

added the D2 mirror about 4 years ago to my D1, can't recall which wires go where but black was black, then play with the other 2 to get compass to come on with the key. Then you get to calibrate it and set the right zone...

 

Lord Reaper, did you get the right combination? "black, dark green, and light green with white stripe" I am about to do this conversion. Which did these pair to? Did you have any wires exposed after or is everything hidden. Thanks.
